I graduated from the Indiana University School of Law, Indianapolis, in May of 1987. I began my legal career as a Deputy Public Defender for the State of Indiana in July, 1987. In 1992, I left employment with the state and established a law practice in Broad Ripple.
Since that time, my practice has focused on estate planning and probate with a special interest in estate planning for gay and lesbian couples. Because of my background in the field, I have been invited to share my experience with other lawyers and the public at training and informational seminars. They include:
Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, SEXUAL ORIENTATION: REPRESENTING THE GAY/LESBIAN CLIENT’S INTERESTS, “Estate Planning for ‘Non-Traditional’ Families: A Practical Approach,” July 21, 1994.
Indiana Civil Liberties Union, THE GAY 90'S: SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND INDIANA LAW, “Estate Planning for the Gay/Lesbian Couple: Balancing Cost and Control,” May 23, 1997.
Indiana Civil Liberties Union, SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND INDIANA LAW, “Estate Planning for the Gay/Lesbian Couple: The Balancing Act,” December 1, 2000.
With the growth of my practice, I have developed an efficient planning process dedicated to one simple goal: GIVING YOU PEACE OF MIND.
